Episode 022 Quotables

“What confuses people is they think that I run my own blog and make money that way, but I don’t really. The only blog I have is on my writer website, and I only update it two times per month. What I make money doing is writing blog posts for other businesses.”
— Alicia Rades

“When you’re starting out, what you’re not lacking is skills. You’re lacking the evidence. You want to have samples. You want to have testimonials. And that’s obviously something that new writers aren’t necessarily going to have.”
— Alicia Rades

  1. Hey Brent,
I am motivated by your thoughts that we can get money too by just writing the post. I have just started blogging but always wanted to make this my primary key to get money. As in this era we have a lot of competition in market which are offering post at cheap payments.
I am looking for some good buyer for whom I should write pls suggest!!

Thanks for sharing this wonderful info.!!Great!!

    • Hi Neo,

      Thanks for commenting.

When it comes to blogging for money — ie: freelance writing — Alicia does a great job of teaching you how to do that in this interview.

If you’re talking specifically about using your blog as a tool to make money — through affiliate marketing, or that sort of idea — I can’t offer you much advice there. The only thing I can suggest is that invest a lot of blood, sweat and tears into increasing your network of contacts and producing epic, consistent content. Become an authority in your niche, and then the money-making opportunities become more realistic.

      Best,

      Brent
